For more than 20 years, AirWork & Heliseilerei GmbH (A&H) has been a leading name in the sector of ropes and rescue devices for helicopter operations and our uncompromising commitment to innovation is the same as ever. This dedication plus the determination to always ensure quality and safety are the governing criteria of all our activities.

A&H is working within the scope of various kinds of regulatory frameworks. EASA Part 21 and EASA Air OPS, military aircraft, external cargo transport operations, PPE against falls from a height, satellites, drones, etc. are subject to different rules and standards. This in-depth knowledge is the foundation of our company’s extensive know-how.

With different product logos such as A&H Engineering, A&H Equipment, A&H Services und A&H Expert, and under the direction of the management board, A&H mainly focuses upon its core business, i.e. the development, production and certification of load lifting and rescue devices, equipment for air rescue and load securing, as well as auxiliary material to be used by the aerospace industry and other customers.

A&H acts as a supplier for helicopter companies, operators of fixed-wing airplanes and drones as well as the space industry, but we also deliver products to a multitude of users, such as the police, the military, fire brigades, etc. and people working in the field of animal rescue. Furthermore, we supply manufacturers of air and spacecraft and component/equipment producers.

Holding an EASA Part 21 certification, A&H is authorised to manufacture components and equipment within the scope granted, to attest their airworthiness by EASA Form 1 and to place these products on the market.

In order to protect our know-how we have decided to run all relevant production processes exclusively in Switzerland. Thus a multitude of small, even tiny sub-contractors build an efficient network for the development of innovative niche products.

  • 2025

25 years ago it started as AirWork Ragoni Services GmbH. On February 7, 2000, seven "crazy people" founded the company with no future (as a former boss put it). Leo Caminada sel., Robert Gnannt, Martin Hinkel, Claus Troche, Annemarie Ragoni, Enrico Ragoni and last but not least Hermann Wyder sel. (formerly Heliseilerei & Nautikzubehör, Erstfeld) founded the company, which is now a worldwide synonym for safety, quality and reliability. Since 2007, with the merger of Heliseilerei GmbH and AirWork Ragoni Services GmbH to form AirWork & Heliseilerei GmbH (A&H), we have grown from 3 to 8 employees today. From then on domiciled in Ebikon (LU) and Erstfeld (UR), the new company moved to the Chli Ebnet site in Küssnacht am Rigi on January 1, 2007. In 2012 we moved to Bahnhofweg 1 in Immensee. And this is where we want to celebrate. Save the date: June 27th or 28th, 2025.
